Step 1
Find that perfect piece from hundreds of choices, a comfy spot in our climate controlled studio and get to painting.
Payment is only due at the end of the first sitting. The project may be brought back as many times as needed to make it perfect, at no additional cost.
Before you start painting though, be sure to wipe down the piece with a damp cloth (provided) to remove any dust buildup.
Step 2
Paint your piece
There are a number of techniques to choose when painting pottery (glazing bisque). Having a vision before hand will help guide you through the entire art-making process. No worries if you're new to painting though, our staff is more than happy to help with any style you choose to go with.
TIP: There are more brushes up at the counter. As well as pencils that will fire off and won't fire off.
Step 3
This is about the journey, not the destination
Time spent with friends and family creating art that can potentially be handed down generations, that's what we're peddling here. We encourage you to take your time, enjoy the escapism AND camaraderie the studio and your people have to offer. We offer some snacks. Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome. Just be mindful of strong odors, please. This is a safe space for all to be free and explore their creativity.
Step 4
Put an identifying mark on your project, place it on the black cart and provide name and phone number
Oh yea, and pay.
The staff will provide you a yellow copy of your itemized receipt. On that will be a description of your identifying mark (name, initials, date, symbol...). Hold on to that as it might also work as an alibi. Wait- I mean, we'll need that to ensure that the right project is returned to the rightful artist.
Step 5
I ain't gonna lie, this is the hard part
Leave the studio. Seriously, get out. Go enjoy that wonderful euphoric expression known as life.
Our team will need about a week to transform that pastel looking project into the magnificently vibrant artwork it was destined to be.
Why'd we take your phone number?
We will NOT call when it's ready for pickup. We will only call in case of an issue with your piece or ya forget about us.
Step 6
Come collect your artwork
Just pop into the store with that yellow receipt and head for the counter. Our staff will borrow that receipt to keep our records straight and assist you in collecting your art. We almost always have bubble wrap and small cardboard boxes for you to transport your treasures home.
RINSE AND REPEAT
We hope you find the therapeutic aspects of this hobby and choose to make us a regular habit.
